Busy, Busy Month of June!

It has been forever since my last post. However, June has been a crazy busy month.

We celebrated our friends getting married at the beginning of the month. The hubby had basketball 2 days a week for the entire month and we went on vacation!

We made our third trip out to Atlantic City last week. We have been in the fall before, but this was our first time being there when it was beach weather. Let me tell you that it is a great time of year to go! The weather was perfect!

To make things even better we got our flights for $76 dollars round trip each! We flew into to Trenton, New Jersey and rented a car to drive down to Atlantic City. We paid to stay the first night at the Showboat Hotel & Casino. Then we stayed at the Tropicana Hotel & Casino with comp nights!

The World Cup of Sand Sculpting was going on in Atlantic City while we were there. They had just begun doing the sculptures, but they were awesome! I can't believe what they can make from sand!

We had a great time. I think this was one of our all time favorite vacations.

This trip included all kinds of fun things. We played in poker tournaments, gambled, putt putt golfed, swam in the ocean, walked the boardwalk, ate great food and won money!

The best part of all, I got to spend some great quality time with my husband! Isn't he cute?

I highly recommend going to Atlantic City. It's a great trip and there is something for everyone.

Until next time,

Date Night Jar

The Hubby and I have been together 8 years. The one thing we have consistently argued over for those 8 years is the question, "What do you want to do?"

I consider us to both be intelligent adults, but when that question comes out of the other persons mouth its like we become fools and have no thoughts.

Our common answer is "I don't know" or "I don't care".

Well I found something to fix that problem. Our date night jar!

I saw the idea on Pinterest (where all ideas live of course) and decided it was an inexpensive, crafty solution to our problem.

All you need are Popsicle sticks, markers, a jar, and your list of activities you want to use.

Both the Hubby and I brainstormed ideas in the categories of free dates, cheap dates, more expensive dates, and plan ahead dates.

Here is our example list:

Making the list was the hardest part. There are a lot of online links for date ideas. Just cater your list to your tastes and preferences!

Songs I am Obsessed With Right Now

Maybe I am the only person, but when I hear a song I like on the radio I kind of get obsessed with it. I just want it to come on all the time! Or I go home and YouTube it over and over!

Here are a few of the songs I love right now!

This song by the Chainsmokers is awesome. It has such a great beat and it's always on the radio right now!

Dan and Shay are a great country duo, but From the Ground Up is such a beautiful song. I absolutely love it.

Florida Georgia Line has never put out a bad song. It took me a few times for me to get into this one, but I really like the song. It's another I love to sing when it comes across the radio (which is quite a bit).

I hope you enjoy your day!

Until next time,

I do not own the rights to any of these songs or videos. You can find the videos on YouTube.

Las Vegas Once Again!

The Hubby and I just made our 8th trip to Las Vegas! Our favorite place to vacation. Baby Girl got to stay with her Mimi and Pappy while we were gone.

We had a great trip filled with food, fun, and plenty of gambling. We didn't hit it big, but it was a great vacation of spending quality time with the Hubby.

We stayed 3 nights at the Rio. The Rio is just off the Strip. We like staying here because it's not near as busy as being on the Strip.

The Rio recently added a KISS themed putt-putt golf course. We played and it was fun, but I am horrible!

September is a huge month for us. We both had big birthdays (3-0... let's not talk about that) and our anniversary. So we both decided instead of buying gifts we would do something fun in Vegas. We decided to see a show and we picked Absinthe.

It is SO worth the money. If you get offended by ANYTHING, please do not see it. It is acrobatics mixed with crude comedy. We had a great time! We saw this show when it first opened back in 2011 …
