We are lucky enough to still have a drive-in movie theater about 7 miles from our house. We decided to head over there this weekend and see the double feature.
The first movie was Jurassic World (which the Hubby wanted to see) and Pitch Perfect 2 (which was my movie). The Hubby decided he didn't want to watch the second movie and went to sleep in the backseat!
I was pleasantly surprised with both movies. Jurassic World was better than I expected and Chris Pratt was great in it.
But I was really excited to see Pitch Perfect 2. I loved the first movie. I thought Pitch Perfect 2 was good, but not as good as the original.
I feel that sometimes when you hit the ball out of the park on the first film, it's hard to follow up with another home run.
I still thought the movie was super funny and well worth staying up until 2 am. Who wouldn't quietly laugh at Fat Amy rowing across a lake in a tiny paddle boat belting out a love song, while their husband is asleep in the back seat?!?
If you don't know what the movie is supposed to be about, here is a synopsis from IMDb:
The Bellas are back, and they are better than ever. After being humiliated in front of none other than the President of the United States of America, the Bellas are taken out of the Aca-Circuit. In order to clear their name and regain their status, the Bellas take on a seemingly impossible task: winning an International competition no American team has ever won. In order to accomplish this monumental task, they need to strengthen the bonds of friendship and sisterhood, and blow away the competition with their amazing aca-magic! With all new friends and old rivals tagging along for the trip, the Bellas can hopefully accomplish their dreams once again.
The cast really plays well off each other. I really enjoyed watching it and will buy it when it comes out on DVD.
If you haven't see Pitch Perfect, I would recommend watching it, then heading to the theater or renting this when it comes out on DVD!
Until next time,
Kara
